YOUTH UTV RULES

Youth Race - Production UTV Polaris 170 Class rules:

1. Polaris RZR 170 Vehicle or Polaris ACE 150

2. Aftermarket Cages Are Allowed and Recommended.

3. Seats must be stock configuration as delivered from manufacture. Passenger seat may be removed.

4. Suspension must be stock configuration and utilize stock mounting points. After market shocks and A- arms are permitted.

5 Driver Must Be At Least 5 Years Old & No Older Than 12 Years Old

6. Polaris RZR 170cc Engine (MAX) or ACE 150 Must Be Used. NO MODIFICATIONS 

7. Aftermarket or Re-flashed ECUs NOT ALLOWED

8. Intake, Exhaust & Fuel/Timing Programmer Allowed 

9. Driver Window Net Or Wrist Restraints Required

10. If Racing w/ A Passenger, A Passenger Net Or Wrist Restraint Also Required. 

11. 5-Point Seat Belts Required For Each Occupant

12. All Occupants Must Wear Snell Approved Helmet, Eye Protection, SFI-A5 Rated Fire Suit are Required. No Karting suits

13. Approved Head & Neck Restraints ARE Required after the 3 race grace period or start of 2021 race season.  Highly Recommended.

14. Race Numbers On Both Sides Of Vehicle & The Rear Of The Vehicle. White Background w/ Black Numbers. Minimum 6” tall.

15. Fuel Octane is Open.

16. Roof Panel REQUIRED

17. MINIMUM WEIGHT 700lbs for RZR 170 and 650lbs for Ace 150  

18. Depending on entry’s, and group approval, modified and stock may be combined with stock

 

Youth Race - Modified Polaris 170 Class rules:

1. Polaris RZR 170 Vehicle or Polaris ACE 150

Youth Race – Modified 250 Class rules:

1. Polaris RZR 170 Vehicle or SIMILAR 

2. Aftermarket Roll Cage w/ Door Panels & A Roof Panel Is not required but highly recommended.   

3. Seat location is open

4. Aftermarket Suspension Allowed 

5. Driver Must Be At Least 7 Years Old & No Older Than 12 Years Old 

6. Engine up to 250cc, must match make & model of vehicle (No engine swaps) 

7. Engine & Performance Mods ARE ALLOWED

8. Aftermarket or Re-flashed ECUs are permitted. 

9. Intake, Exhaust & Fuel/Timing Programmer Allowed 

10. Driver Window Net Or Wrist Restraints Required 

11. If Racing w/ A Passenger, A Passenger Net Or Wrist Restraint Also Required. 

12. 5-Point Seat Belts Required For Each Occupant 

13. All Occupants Must Wear Snell Approved Helmet, Eye Protection, SFI-A5 Rated Fire Suit are Required.  No Karting suits

17. One 2.5lb Fire Extinguisher Mounted On UTV w/ Quick Release. 

 

Youth Race - Stock Production 570 UTV Class rules:

 1. Stock roll cage is allowed. Aftermarket Cages Are Recommended 

2. Seats must be stock configuration as delivered from manufacture. Passenger seat may be removed.

3. Suspension must be stock configuration and utilize stock mounting points. After market shocks are permitted.

4. Driver Must Be At Least 10 Years Old & No Older Than 16 Years Old 

5. Maximum displacement of 570cc. NO MODIFICATIONS 

6. ECU must be stock but can be Reflashed.  

7. Aftermarket Intake & Fuel/Timing Programmer NOT ALLOWED

8. Driver Window Net is required.SFI 27.1 see pg 3.  Wrist Restraints Recommended 

9. If Racing w/ A Passenger, A Passenger Net is required. See above rule.

10. 5-Point Seat Belts Required For Each Occupant 

11. All Occupants Must Wear Snell Approved Helmet, Eye Protection, SFI-A5 Rated Fire Suit are   Required. No Karting suits

17. Must have the BITD Timing Transponder available from BITD.com 

18. The Stock Production 570 class vehicles are built using production UTV’s, manufactured by registered companies, i.e. Polaris, Can-Am, Artic Cat, Yamaha, that issues Vin #’s. Companies must produce a minimum number of 1000 units of that exact model and configuration, prior to being allowed to participate in this class, at any VORRA Sanctioned Event.
